Total Divas is a reality TV show that follows the everyday life of the WWE Divas. Basically, the Bella Twins, Natalya, Summer Rae, the Funkadactyls and Eva Marie star in a scripted show trying not to be scripted about scripted characters women play on a scripted show. Despite its original popularity, the show has done more harm than good to the division in the eyes of wrestling fans. In summer last year, AJ Lee cut her famous pipebomb promo on the cast of Total Divas and what WWE had hoped for was the fans would get behind the cast and think AJ Lee was jealous of their success. Instead the opposite happens, the fans agreed with AJ and got behind her. She had them all in the palm of her hand in similar fashion her soon-to-be husband CM Punk did when he cut his infamous promo in 2011. The fans made their voices heard and have been very vocal of their support of AJ Lee since then, especially when someone as inexperienced or as dull as Eva Marie or Cameron step into the ring. How someone like Eva Marie has made her way onto the main roster is beyond this writer. She has no place on Raw and WWE is kidding themselves if they think the reason fans boo her is because shes over as personality. Natalya aside, the divas on the show were never popular in the first place nor were they accomplished in the ring. Who else remembers that god awful arm-linked clothesline they all did on the 23rd December edition of Raw? Fans were unhappy to have the cast constantly shoved down their throats and taking time from the likes of Tamina Snuka and Kaitlyn (who recently left the WWE) who already proved themselves in the ring. If WWE wants fans to reinvest their time in the division, Total Divas needs to stop taking up Raw airtime.
