10 Ways Money In The Bank 2015 Changed WWE's Future

2. Sheamus' Career Rejuvenation

Undoubtedly one of the biggest implications for WWE's changed future was Sheamus winning the Money In The Bank briefcase. This move was designed to rejuvenate his career, as a way of getting him back to the main event level that he enjoyed in his 2009 to 2012 run. He's one of the best paid wrestlers and a favourite of Triple H, so they really want to get him back to that main event level. With a solid heel persona and the briefcase, he's absolutely set up to be a big star over the next twelve months. A WWE Title match is obviously a guarantee, and a run as Champion is also highly probable. That sets up a range of interesting possibilities for the WWE. Sheamus isn't a cool heel like Seth Rollins, instead he's genuinely hated. That means any babyface going up against him is likely to be that much hotter. WWE could be on to something with the Irishman's return to prominence.
