This year's women's ladder match brings several credible victors to the table.

Ember Moon is an athletic phenom begging to be elevated, having experienced only middling fortunes since her "graduation" from NXT. Mandy Rose, though far from the finished article, is exactly the kind of young prospect whose career could be kickstarted by the briefcase's rub. Carmella is one of the most improved wrestlers in the whole company. The Superstar Shake-Up's forgotten woman, Nikki Cross, is due a spotlight.

Despite these other candidates, Bayley is the easiest sell. The most underutilised of WWE's Four Horsewomen is now so far removed from Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair (two wrestlers she was once considered neck-and-neck with) that it almost feels like she's operating within a different sphere. A shame, as while main roster writers have never understood how to best harness her unique babyface appeal, Bayley remains one of the promotion's finest performers.

Ronda Rousey's absence has intensified WWE's need to build other wrestlers up to Flair and Lynch's level. With Alexa Bliss sidelined by another concussion, they need look no further than Bayley, who should snatch the women's briefcase on Sunday.
