6. Introduce A Great Blood Feud
Going hand in hand with the long-term storytelling is a great blood feud. The Gargano/Ciampa blood feud was perfect storytelling (until the One Final Beat) and it was all based around this personal animosity between the two. This is the kind of heated rivalry that NXT is missing. That intense, friendship fuelled rivalry that leaves the viewer constantly wanting more.
They shouldn't necessarily copy and paste the formula of Gargano/Ciampa onto two random superstars. Instead, NXT should look at what they have and think how they can create a meaningful rivalry. One that can potentially carry the brand.
The story that stands out the most would be Adam Cole versus Kyle O'Reilly. The implosion of The Undisputed Era combined with the emotional elements surrounding Cole's leadership over O'Reilly could make for some great storytelling and great matches.
It seems inevitable that The Undisputed Era will break up on NXT TV and the best way to capitalise on this is to spin off each member into their own stories with each other. Strong/Fish and O'Reilly Cole. NXT's own Civil War!
