10 Ways NXT Is Making WWE Look Bad

7. Better Use Of Talent

WWE.comWWE.comMore so than any other wrestling show on television, NXT puts its talent in the best position to succeed. Triple H and the producers recognize the stars' strengths and accentuate them, all the while hiding their negatives as best they can. Mojo Rawley is a high-energy competitor but is still incredibly green so his ring time is limited. Sami Zayn is the brand's best wrestler but his promo work is shaky so he wrestles longer match and keeps his interviews short and sweet. It is a philosophy that Paul Heyman perfected in ECW and one that dozens of promoters before him utilized to the benefit of their companies. Too many times, WWE tries to force performers into roles, regardless of whether or not they fit. Most of the time, the men and women who find themselves stuck in that situation fail to recover. It is the waste of a talented individual and unfortunately, has happened far too often over the last decade.

Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
