10. Half Measures
Bubba Ray Dudley returning to the WWE during the Royal Rumble match was a brilliant moment, especially in the home of ECW. It's not clear at this point whether he will be sticking around as a singles competitor (he did after all prove that he's got what in takes for that type of role during his time in TNA), but there was something really wrong here. Why didn't D-Von return? That's not clear, but replacing him with R-Truth was borderline offensive. Someone should probably tell WWE - who have had some well-publicised issues with racism - that not every black guy is D-Von, and having Truth take his place in almost all of the iconic Dudley Boyz spots pretty much missed the point of nostalgia entirely. Was this whole thing racist? Not intentionally perhaps, but the fact that the WWE were satisfied to send Bubba out there to half a**e his return might just be an indication that they're happy to spend the rest of 2015 just sailing along continuing to do things by half measures rather than making the effort to really live up to the expectations of fans.
