10 Ways Royal Rumble Proves 2015 Will Be A Bad Year For WWE Fans

9. The People's Champion

On the one hand, you can understand what the WWE were thinking here. Get rid of Daniel Bryan early, and that avoids the crowd cheering for him over Roman Reigns in the closing minutes of the match. It was also a legitimately shocking moment, as even those convinced that Bryan wouldn't win the Rumble expected him to make the final four. Instead, his elimination was as forgettable as someone like Zack Ryder! Unless they're planning on putting Bryan in another feud with Bray Wyatt, there was really nothing to be gained here by handling his departure from the match like this. As of right now, the leader of the Yes Movement finds himself directionless on the road to WrestleMania. Bryan's elimination backfired on the WWE regardless, as any excitement the crowd previously had was stopped dead as chants of "Daniel Bryan" and "Bullsh*t" rang out through the arena. We may all love Bryan, but this could be yet another indication that to the WWE, he very much remains the B+ Player they so often call him in front of the cameras.
