10 Ways TNA Can Get Fans To Again "Cross the Line"

1. Forget About the WWE....For Now.

The one thing that I find wrong with TNA's development is that they constantly try to compete with the WWE on their level. Which is just madness because it has taken many a year for the WWE to become the conglomerate they have become. They seemingly forget one thing about the big boys that most smarks forget as well (especially when it comes to the ratings in America).

The WWE is a GLOBAL entity. It might be failing in America at the moment but it is booming everywhere else (although I am not sure about England and Canada). They have transcended sports entertainment and have become a true corporation in every sense of the word. In this country (Australia) the WWE is just huge. Every second kid on the street is wearing a John Cena shirt. And the eyebrows raised with my Damian Sandow shirt has to be truly seen to be believed.

One of the dumbest mistakes TNA ever tried to do under the Trinity's watch was to take on Monday Night RAW. Again, trying to relive the days of old by sacrificing smart business. On top of this at the time they were only pulling 1.2 ratings, how in the blue hell did they expect to take on the machine with ratings like that?

Forget about taking on the WWE until you fix the product and get ratings up to the 2.0 range. Don't even mention them on your programming, pretend they don't exist. Act like you are the only company out there and focus on a LONG TERM plan that will lead you to back into the race for Sports Entertainment dominance. Then, if you get there, don't rush straight into battle.

Why does there have to be a Monday Night war? Why not take on the struggling B show Smackdown. I think a Friday Night war is a much more viable option for TNA once they get the ratings out of the doldrums. And if you get people turning off Smackdown in favor of your product, then you will truly get Vince McMahon to raise an eyebrow.

But first, you must fix the current product and rebuild the company and the brand as a whole. What has happened in the past 3 years under the insanity that was the Unholy trinity of wrestling management has reduced the company to a running joke and on the verge of bankruptcy. And I can assure those in management who may read this, implementing even just one of the above will be a good start.

I want my alternative back. I am ready to re-cross the line. Are you ready to win me back?

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
