10 Ways TNA/Impact Was Great For The Wrestling Business
7. Livelier Crowds
Say what you will about the Impact Zone, those TNA loyalists know how to light up an arena.
Not to over-bash the WWE, but the writer of this article recently attended SmackDown Live! in Detroit and it was borderline embarrassing. The crowd went just about silent for anything that didn't involve Daniel Bryan or Rusev. Due to how the shows are laid out in such a formulaic manner, it's almost impossible to truly find yourself invested.
TNA, on the other hand, might have the most die-hard fanbase out there. Every time the camera starts rolling in the Impact Zone, it sounds like the remote control turned the volume up without any input. Somehow they've concocted a formula that's given them one of the most consistently fun audiences in wrestling, and that helps the product out a lot. Do you really think Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock would be considered a classic if the crowd had been silent during the match?
