Every week, WWE produces five hours of cable network television and of those 300 minutes, roughly 10 to 15 are devoted to the company's female talent. That is a staggering number, considering how man women the company has under contract. Why continue to waste that amount of talent when a show like SmackDown could easily cater to rivalries involving the likes of Paige, the Bella Twins, Alicia Fox and Natalya? Am I suggesting that the Thursday night show become dominated by Divas? Of course not. But with two hours of programming to fill, allowing the women to work longer matches or engage the audience in promos and vignettes that they typically would not have the opportunity to partake in on Raw, there really is no reason not to at least experiment with the idea. There was a time when women such as Sable, Trish Stratus, Lita and even AJ Lee were more over than some of the male stars on the roster. They were significant to the weekly stories and matches that played out each week. Under the current system of booking women on the main roster, the company may never have stars of that magnitude in the Divas division again. No matter how hard they try to convince audiences that Brie and Nikki are all-time great Divas. Why not set out to fix that by making Divas an integral part of SmackDown.
