Don't like the way wrestling is now, and don't like the way it was in the Attitude Era? Well, there still may be something for you yet in NXT.

The show has a more intimate and traditional feel than what we see on Raw or SmackDown. There's no evil authority figures, there's much less emphasis on babyface figures as well, they have squash matches to effectively build up talent, they don't give you the same mid-carders exchanging wins and losses with each other ad nauseum and mercifully, it's only one hour long.

By the end of the show you have the next episode to look forward to in a week, and aren't begging for the night to end like can happen on Raw.

NXT may not always blow you away, but every Takeover event so far has ranged from good to pretty damn great. And you'll likely never finish watching an episode of NXT and wishing you had that time back.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
