10 Ways WWE 2K14 Is Better Than Actual WWE Television
2. Blood
It was unimaginable in the 80's and 90's wrestling scene that blood would one day not be part of the industry, but in modern day WWE this is the case. Blood could potentially put sponsors and advertisers off, so Vince McMahon has gone PG and the red stuff's become history. It's a shame, WWE 2K14 is further proof that appropriate bleeding has a home in the squared circle. Take for example the moment Steve Austin passed out in Bret Hart's sharpshooter in 1997, would that really have had the same drama if Steve didn't have blood trickling down his face? Thankfully you can relive that moment in all its glory in the '30 years of Wrestlemania' mode in 2k14. Blood also pops up in other scenarios and matches when you bust your opponent up enough. By having this appropriate level of blood, the game ends up being more realistic and compelling than the real in-ring product. It makes sense that when someone takes a boot to the face they are going to bleed. If you really like your blood in wrestling, 2k14 even boasts the "first blood" match type stipulation.
