10 Ways WWE Can Fix Survivor Series In 2021
5. Use The Elimination Chamber
Perhaps the ultimate match of survival in WWE's arsenal. It's time to bring the Elimination Chamber structure home. Back in 2002, the match debuted at Survivor Series and it proved to be one of the most intense spectacles WWE would ever produce. Six opponents, two starting, and the remainder being released from individual cells every few minutes. It immediately lived up to its ominous sounding name.
Somewhat unbelievably the Elimination Chamber has only appeared at the Survivor Series event once, back in 2002 at its inception. It's lack of use on the fall classic's card is surprising considering the nature of it. Six people duking it out, with one winner, trapped in a hellish environment such as this? It's not only thematically consistent with the PPV, matches of this type also tend to be very entertaining.
The gimmick match's use is symptomatic of a larger issues in WWE's PPV calendar. I've always felt its spiritual home is at Survivor Series. Returning the match to it's point of origin in 2021 would be a smart move to not only further emphasize the survival aspect of the show, but would most certainly rake in some nostalgia viewing from more seasoned wrestling fans also.
