10 Ways WWE Can Keep Sting Relevant Between Appearances

8. Subtle Teases

With a character as mysterious and enigmatic as Sting, there are many subtle ways that WWE could tease his upcoming appearances without actually having him appear on the show. Although WWE would never (admittedly) steal an idea from them, TNA did tease Sting's impending arrival well at Turning Point 2005. After Jeff Jarrett retained his TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Rhyno in the main event, the lights went out and when they came back on Sting's iconic leather coat and baseball bat were lying in the middle of the ring. The 'lights go out and when they come on there's a surprise' bit might be played out but it fits the Sting character. It could be something as simple as a wrestler walking past the camera during a backstage segment only for the wall behind them to have a Sting logo imprinted on it. WWE could really get creative with the subtle teases and keep the fans excited and guessing while they wait for the real thing.
