10 Ways WWE Can Save Its Floundering Product

4. Do You Care Or Not?

A big part of what makes WWE programming so tedious to watch, at times, is the company's schizophrenic desire to push any title division that isn't the WWE World Title. Intercontinental, United States, Tag Team, Divas... the company will put an effort into making the titles seem important, and they'll build the champion and even multiple top contenders... only to change their minds a month or so later, and have the champion jobbing out in non-title match after non-title match for no apparent reason. It's difficult to watch the shows when the focus on things is so scatterbrained. WWE Creative needs to sit down and decide, once and for all, if the secondary titles mean anything to them. If they don't, get rid of them, as they serve no point. If they do, then put some time and effort into the divisions. Give us some feuds. Give us some defined "divisions", with people going after each title, and not just "two people fight in the main event, and everyone else is roaming around aimlessly". It might seem like a daunting task, but it goes back to what I said earlier about having different people on the Creative Team that handle different tasks. Someone could be on the team with the sole task of finding meaning for the secondary titles, since it's pretty clear that the people who focus on the main event scene don't have time for it. Hell, if you're really looking to add some prestige to the midcard scene again, I have four simple words for you... King Of The Ring. Simple, no?
