10 Ways WWE Could Have Improved WrestleMania 36
2. More Moves In The Men’s Championship Matches
The Goldberg Vs. Strowman clash was awful. It was probably wise not to attempt a Jackhammer on a guy Strowman’s size but that did reduce Goldberg to one move. Given that Braun was going over, big Bill might at least have taken a few more.
McIntyre s. Lesnar was marginally better but suffered from an over familiar layout and its similarity to the previous night’s disappointing effort. It was proof that Brock’s brief, big bomb bangers don’t work without a crowd to feed off.
Neither match felt especially prestigious which is a major failure given they were for the company’s top titles. Combined, the two fights ran less than ten minutes and featured a total of four moves.
Even a famously limited and not-unfairly derided worker like The Ultimate Warrior delivered more than that against Hulk Hogan thirty years ago. The in-ring standard is supposed to have improved since then.
No one wants to see Goldberg go 15 minutes and only the most ghoulish want Brock to attempt another shooting star press but at least three of these four men are capable of much more than they delivered.
