10 Ways WWE Fumbled The Network Launch

5. Issues With Companies Like Comcast or DirecTv

Oldwwe Like I stated before, the Network includes all the pay-per-views with it. That means companies, such as in the USA companies like Comcast, Dish Network, and DirecTV, will be losing income. This has caused a major issue to the WWE's plans. Prior to this negativity between the parties, the WWE was planning on still offering the pay-per-view to individuals who have not purchased the Network. However, that most likely will be for naught now. The problem now is most companies are deciding against providing the pay-per-views. They are upset at their lost revenue from the Network and it seems they do not wish to continue to do business with the WWE. This shouldn't be all too big of a surprise. While not providing top dollars in pay-per-views like the UFC or boxing provide, the WWE pay-per-views still brought in a good amount of money to these dealers. Why would they still offer an event that might not even get 1,000 buys. It may cost the companies more than it brings in and they aren't in the business of losing money.
