7. Jack Tunney, WWF President

Another example of WWE rewriting history is their indifference to just forgetting storylines on WWE TV. Whatever has gone in the past doesn't really matter. Just take a look at Randy Orton - he battered Triple H and DDT'd Stephanie McMahon in 2009, yet recently has been working cozily with them as 'the Authority' in 2013. A long running example of WWE rewriting history relates to the ownership of the company. Jess McMahon first started the WWWF in 1952, Vince McMahon Snr then bossed the company until Vince McMahon Jnr bought it in 1982. For reasons never fully known, McMahon would go on to rewrite history (and reality) when he introduced the president of the WWF as Jack Tunney. The reign of this storyline president started in 1984 and lasted until 1995 when Gorilla Monsoon replaced him. Vince McMahon himself would eventually emerge as WWF owner in 1997, in doing so throwing away the last 13 years of supposed WWF history.
