10 WCW Managers You Totally Don’t Remember

2. Tony Marinara

Credit where credit is due: Big Vito, in particular, tried his best to make 'The Mamalukes' tag-team become a late-era WCW success story. He was passionate, bumped around like a mad-man during matches and did everything he could to carve out a spot for himself, Johnny The Bull and motormouth manager Tony Marinara.

Yes, Marinara. As in, tomato-based pasta sauce.

That was the name WCW slapped on future ECW man Tony Mamaluke in late-1999. He was a stereotypical 'wise guy' mobster who threatened that Disco Inferno might "sleep with the fishes" if he didn't help The Mamalukes to success; apparently, in storyline, Disco owed Tony's family cold hard cash, or something.

Of course, being WCW, the angle never played out to a conclusion. Marinara's last appearance came in a backstage promo at Souled Out 2000 - after that, he disappeared before showing back up in the original ECW for a while.

You'd be forgiven for forgetting his WCW stint.
