10 WCW Moments So Bad They’ll STILL Blow Your Mind

4. Ric Flair = Psychiatric Patient

Yuck.

Ric Flair was committed to a psychiatric ward by Roddy Piper the week before, then WCW offered up some atrociously-bad skits on the 26 April edition of Nitro that should probs just be deleted for everyone's sake. Segments aired were insanely insensitive, and included everyone perving on nurses.

The actors drafted in for these Flair bits hammed it up to the enjoyment of nobody but themselves, and the whole nightmare was a grotesque caricature of mental illness. As if that wasn't bad enough, it also made for rubbish wrestling TV, because who really wanted to see the 'Nature Boy' in hospital anyway?

It'll blow your mind if you boot up the Network/Peacock and see some of this trash. Pro wrestling often paints in broad strokes and presents one-dimensional characters, but there's a huge difference between that and alleging that everyone who suffers from mental illness should be...whatever these guys were trying to be.

Have another yuck for good measure, WCW.
