10 WCW Moments That Still Haunt Wrestling Fans

9. Warrior And Hulk Hogan's Baffling Feud

In 1998, Hollywood Hogan had the idea to bring The Ultimate Warrior back into the fold. Previously, Hulk had jobbed to Warrior at the WWF's WrestleMania VI event. It was really only so Hogan could get a win back on the man that Warrior was brought into WCW. Fans were initially enthused for the bout, but the feud that built to the collision was far from straightforward. The idea was that Warrior was getting inside Hogan's head before the match. During one segment backstage, he even appeared on a mirror in front of Hulk. Eric Bischoff, who was with Hogan, claimed he couldn't see anything. That was all well and good, but fans could see Warrior, meaning they must have been losing their minds too. The whole thing did nothing to adequately hype a big Pay-Per-View match between both men. At Halloween Havoc, the action proved lacking. Hogan and Warrior were noticeably slower than they had been at 'Mania 8 years prior. That would have been forgivable, had WCW not booked such an asinine build. Warrior vs. Hogan sold itself, it didn't need the baffling mind games to aid it. This match did nothing to present WCW as a must-see product.
