10 WCW Moments You Totally Don’t Remember

7. Disco Inferno As The Deliberately Uncool Filthy Animal

The nWo was WCW's single greatest creation. Looking to use that formula to create more success, the nWo template spawned a huge number of cheap knock offs. Ironically, the best imitation came via D-Generation X over in the WWF - WCW could never recreate what they'd achieved with the original New World Order.

In late-1999, Vince Russo pushed guys like Rey Mysterio, Konnan, and Eddie Guerrero together as The Filthy Animals. Eventually, the group expanded to include Juventud Guerrera, Billy Kidman, and others. Oh yeah, and Disco Inferno also played a buffoonish rap character called 'Disqo'. This was a clear homage to real-life musician Sisqó.

One thing you may not remember is Disqo deliberately acting like the single least street character around. Saying things like, "word to your mother" and "Jeah, boi", the gimmick missed the mark because the former Inferno was so good at appearing uncool.
