10 WCW PPV Concepts WWE Should Revive
3. Fall Brawl
When you say Fall Brawl to WCW fans, one thing immediately springs to mind - WarGames.
Having taken over the mantle originally held by the WrestleWar event in ‘91 and ‘92, Fall Brawl took over the WCW tradition of holding a WarGames match in 1993. The event would keep up the annual ritual until 1998, after which the WarGames concept was dropped from the Fall Brawl show, ultimately bringing an end to the WarGames in its original form.
Despite not being picked up as a PPV by WWE, Ohio Valley Wrestling did utilise the branding during their time as feeder group for WWE; running their own OVW Fall Brawl events in 2002 and 2004. However, it’s worth noting that neither of these events included a WarGames match.
Taking place in September, Fall Brawl and the WarGames match in particular would be a fantastic addition to the WWE PPV calendar and one that can easily find a home in the current schedule. With the No Mercy event currently sat in the September spot, replacing it with Fall Brawl and the allure of the first WWE WarGames match would be an instant hit.
