Yeah, yeah, we know he's turned up and crushed Brock Lesnar recently, but as the old saying goes, a wrestling fan never forgets. When Goldberg arrived in the company back in 2003, expectations were high. This was the most dominant figure professional wrestling had ever produced - the man who went 173-0 in WCW - and with a whole new roster of people to smash through, the ingredients were all there for another golden run for our Bill.

What actually happened was a strangely flat year that featured a dream feud with The Rock where the Hollywood Heel totally outshone him, a so-so title run that didn't really amount to much, and most famously, a farce of a match with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 20. The WWE seem to be making amends right now, which is great, and will hopefully allow Goldberg to get the send-off he deserves, but his original run with the company remains forgettable.
