10 WCW Stars Who Would Have Won Money In The Bank

10. 1992 - Arn Anderson

WCW's roster in the early 1990s was...peculiar, to say the least.

The midcard seemed non-existent, as main event stars battled throughout the roster. By 1991, men such as Rick Rude, Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes and others were extremely well established in American pro wrestling. Their relative star power would have been integral to the first Money in the Bank ladder match.

Throughout this exercise in hypothetical nostalgia, I'll keep the bout to seven participants per match. I'm also going to give the WCW booking team way too much credit, and more often than not follow the WWE booking mentality when it comes to Money in the Bank.

So initially, that means matches full of talented stars who often deserved better. The seven men in the first WCW Money in the Bank ladder match would have been Rick Rude, Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes, Arn Anderson, Brian Pillman, Steve Austin and Cactus Jack.

The winner? The first briefcase should have been won by Double A himself, the great Arn Anderson. The Enforcer never won a World championship - he deserved a lot more glory than he received.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
