10 WCW Stars Who Would Have Won Money In The Bank

9. 1993 - Rick Rude

Many of the stars who took part in the inaugural Money in the Bank match would have returned for multiple shots at the briefcase throughout this hypothetical history. That seemed to be the nature of WCW booking - a whole host of top performers crowded underneath the glass ceiling, as one or two old guys lorded it up on top.

Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windham, Rick Rude and Steve Austin would thus have returned to the bout in 1993. WCW never seemed to know just what to do with Austin, and his appearance in the ladder match would have been a bone-throwing gesture at best.

Joining the four returnees may well have been two men who continued establishing themselves in 1993, and one former WWF star. Johnny B. Badd and Lord Steven Regal are the former, Davey Boy Smith the latter.

None of those three would have won the second briefcase, however - that honour would have gone to Rick Rude. Rude was a legitimate tough guy who was never afraid to take a shortcut in the ring. In many ways, 'Ravishing' Rick Rude was the 'Rated-R Superstar' of his time - the briefcase win would have propelled Rude to the World championship.
