The most betrayed man in World Championship Wrestling history, Sting comes in fourth on the list with the same number of matches as Diamond Dallas Page. The Stinger sits ahead of DDP by virtue of being Sting, which is reason enough. Sting sits in wrestling history as 'Mr. WCW', the one star to hold out on wrestling for Vince McMahon until the temptation grew too large in 2015.

Sting's first match on Nitro came on the very first episode, when he did battle against eternal enemy Ric Flair. The match went to a no contest, because big name stars in the middle of the 1990s didn't really lose cleanly all that often. Sting was the United States Champion at the time, a title he would lose to Kensuke Sasaki in November at a NJPW show.

One delightful little Nitro tidbit is that Sting's final match on Nitro came in the main event of the very last episode, where he once again took on eternal enemy Ric Flair. Sting was victorious on that night, as Nitro ended with the right two men sharing the ring and embracing.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
