To be a WWE superstar these days, you almost certainly need to make sure your passport is up to date.

Last year, WWE took its brand to new heights outside the United States, holding a record four PLEs abroad. Heading into 2024, it already was clear that the company was on pace to break that brand-new record, with three international PLEs announced and the two Saudi shows looming.

But the company went even further, as WWE held an astounding eight main roster PLEs in other countries in 2024: Elimination Chamber (Australia), Backlash (France), King and Queen of the Ring (Saudi Arabia), Clash at the Castle (Scotland), Money in the Bank (Canada), Bash in Berlin (Germany), Crown Jewel (Saudi Arabia), and Survivor Series: WarGames (Canada).

To put a finer point on things, WWE held twice as many PLEs in other countries than they did in the United States in 2024, the first time they’ve ever held more major shows abroad than domestically. It’s safe to say that WWE really is leaning into the idea of being a global brand rather than a U.S.-based entity with an international presence.
