10 Weird Times TV Shows Had Wrestling Storylines

5. Zeke And Luther

Disney ABC Domestic Television

Zeke And Luther, the Internet tells me, "is an American Disney XD sitcom about two best friends setting their sights on becoming the world's greatest skateboarders."

In this episode, the two protagonists meet a fellow 'boarder (Mitch) whose job precludes him from skating, and because this hobby is exponentially more radical than putting food on the table, Mitch takes the advice of the two visibly half-witted teenagers, and quits his job. Zeke and Luther are later surprised to learn that Mitch is actually their favourite professional wrestler, and since half of the WWE roster wish to quit, Zeke And Luther, a dumbass teen TV show, is therefore a pointed satire aimed at WWE in 2019.

This wrestler goes by the name of Death Ripper, which ruins Jon Moxley a bit in New Japan sorry, but is somehow replaced by the adolescent Luther as the top babyface. No respectable wrestling company would ever put a person of such tender age in this spot. Yes, Nicholas performed at WrestleMania 34, but WWE isn't a respectable wrestling company.

Luther meets Rey Mysterio, who wishes him luck. He lost his match against Raw Dog, which would be Roman Reigns' name by now if it weren't for the merciful Wild Card Rule.
