10 Weird WWE Pairings That Turned Out Surprisingly Well

2. Team Hell No

Despite being total opposites, Kane & Daniel Bryan found themselves teaming together, and co-incidentally had a uniquely amazing chemistry with each other that took everyone by surprise. Kane & Bryan were originally feuding with each other, but after being sent to anger management therapy they were made to team up as an attempt to resolve their issues. Despite them not co-operating with each other and deliberately attacking each other during matches, they earned a title match, and subsequently the Tag Team titles. Even with the titles in tow, the two men couldn't function, and argued about who was the tag team champions. The teaming gave Kane & Bryan the chance to develop a side to themselves that hadn't had much exposure before. Their interactions with each other, and Kane's legendary therapy speech made them irresistible to love, and they became one of the most popular teams in years. Their surprising popularity meant that Team Hell No began to work cohesively, and stuck together a lot longer than intended, even enjoying a reign as champion for just shy of 250 days. Daniel Bryan's later success as a singles star could largely be apportioned to the surge in popularity he received in Team Hell No, while Kane enjoyed his best run as a face he's probably ever had in his career.
