3. Ricky Banderas Gets Tossed Into A Volcano
Ricky Banderas has wrestled under several gimmicks in Mexico, including El Mesias, though you may know him better as Judas Mesias from TNA or Mil Muertes from Lucha Underground. What you probably don't know about him is that, in storyline, he was once thrown into a volcano and killed.
AAA booked a casket match between Banderas and the luchador Cibernético over control of La Secta Cibernético. When Banderas recruited several members of Cibernético's sect to join him in La Secta Diabólica, the rivalry culminated in a casket match.
But once Cibernético beat Banderas badly enough to get him into the casket, he and his allies tossed it into a volcano, killing Banderas off in the most epic stretcher job of all-time.
I say that because, of course, he returned from the dead a few months later.
