10 Weirdest Fake Deaths In Wrestling

2. Paul Bearer, Buried In Cement

The devious Paul Heyman tried to control The Undertaker by striking his one weakness (you know, other than the urn): his friendship with manager Paul Bearer.

Employing The Dudley Boyz to kidnap Bearer, Heyman blackmailed 'Taker into servitude. But The Deadman proved difficult to control. At the 2004 edition of The Great American Bash, he put Taker in a handicap match against The Dudleys, with the stipulation that if he didn't lay down for The Dudleys, Paul Bearer would be buried alive in cement. The Undertaker waged war with Bubba Ray and D-Von that night, summoning lightning to frighten off Heyman and rescuing his long-time friend.

And then he murdered Bearer himself.

Because swerve.

Yup, after a heartfelt goodbye, he told Paul was a liability, and then he killed him.

But, when you think about it, it makes sense. Considering how many times Taker had "died" by being buried alive, trapped in burning caskets, and later getting his powers stolen or being beaten into a vegetative state, it was really Paul's turn to take one for the team.
