4. The Giant Falls Off Cobo Hall

Hulk Hogan's crimes in wrestling are legendary. From his theft of the Wrestlemania IX spotlight from Yokozuna and Bret Hart to his role in The Fingerpoke of Doom, which was one of many dominoes in the fall of WCW, Hogan has been the villain in a lot of stories. And then there was that time he accidentally murdered the son of Andre the Giant.

After a monster truck battle atop Cobo Hall for Halloween Havoc 1995, Hogan and The Giant tussled for a bit. When Hogan broke free of The Giant's grip, it sent The Giant over the edge of the building and plummeting to his doom, either into the Detroit River or the parking lot below. Hogan and the announcers sold this like a real accident (while the crowd cheered in the background).

And then, 15 minutes later, The Giant shows up for his match, none the worse for wear. *Shrugs*. Not dead after all.

To be fair, WWE tried their hand at this gimmick once, but on a smaller scale, when The Rock tossed Austin off of a bridge. But they made us wait more than 15 minutes to find out Austin was okay.
