10 Weirdest Jobs Wrestlers Had Before They Were Stars
2. 'Hangman' Adam Page: Teacher
One half of the current AEW World Tag Team Champions hasn't always been a booze-swilling man of the people who just so happens to be one of the best performers in the business today.
At one point, Page had to manage being a high school teacher during the week and trying to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional wrestling sensation on the weekend.
Page began training to be a pro wrestler in high school and continued to do so throughout college as he was earning his bachelor's degree in communications. Sensing that he'd need a full-time job in order to sustain his passion after he left college, Page jumped at the chance to teach in Halifax County, Virginia, when a teacher dropped out just two days before classes started.
He'd then spend the next five years juggling teaching journalism and graphic design classes with his wrestling appearances for Ring of Honor.
Page would eventually leave his full-time teaching post in 2016 when NJPW came calling and he hasn't looked back since. Although, he has stated that he wouldn't mind returning to his teaching roots later down the road.
