10 Weirdest TNA Main Events Ever

8. The Main Event Mafia vs The TNA Front Line - Final Resolution 2008 (December)

For some reason, there were two pay-per-views called Final Resolution in 2008. If you want to know why, the answer is "cos TNA".

At the second one, which took place in December, the World Heavyweight Championship was defended in an eight-man main event; Booker T vs Kevin Nash vs Scott Steiner vs Sting vs AJ Styles vs Brother Ray vs Brother Devon vs Samoa Joe. Hell of a match. Shame it was way more complicated than that.

Instead of an eight-way tussle, the match was instead a four-on-four tag. Booker, Nash, Steiner, and Sting were on one side as The Main Event Mafia, whilst the babyfaces had come together to form The TNA Frontline.

Sting was the actual champion, but didn't need to get beaten to lose the belt. Not that this mattered, as he just pinned Joe to retain the gold.

This was a needlessly complicated way to get all eight men on a card that featured a six-woman tag and a 13-man Feast or Fired match. It was complete overkill and nobody enjoyed it. Well, except for Sting, maybe.
