10 Weirdest Ways To Earn A Wrestling Title Shot

9. Don't Ask, Don't Get

Braun Strowman Nicholas

On the subject of Strowman, he and Seth Rollins simply asked to receive an Opportunity at the RAW Tag Team Championships on the August 19 RAW.

The holders, the O.C., had cost Strowman his opportunity to capture the United States Championship by interfering in his match against AJ Styles. Rollins, clearly upset, made the save. He was so upset, in fact, that he demanded an Opportunity at doubles gold alongside his new mate...

...despite not actually being in a tag team with him. Is there a form one must fill in to formally join a new division? Or is it simply made up as it goes along?

Recognising that the heel faction had unfairly cheated Strowman out of his match, the benevolent babyface authority figure granted this request, nonetheless, which is strange, because the only authority figure who turns up these days is the self-serving Shane McMahon. Wasn't he pally with the Revival in the spring? Does that matter anymore?

Does it f*ck: Rollins and Strowman were announced as #1 contenders, and used the sharpened chemistry they had forged over an arduous span of about an hour and a half to capture the titles.
