7. Brutus Beefcake's Eyes Are Knocked Out Of His Head Whilst Parasailing
The unforgettable sight of Vader popping his eye back into it's socket during a match with Stan Hansen almost made it onto this list, but it was edged out by a near fatal incident involving Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake going parasailing.
During a holiday with friends in July 1990, Brutus was in the middle of helping a fellow parasailer prepare for takeoff when the boat she was attached to set off prematurely, causing her to crash feet-first into Beefcake's face.
The accident sounds horrific, with onlookers claiming his eyes were dangling from their sockets and 'The Barber' reportedly requiring ten hours of surgery, 100 feet of wire & 32 screws to reconstruct the front of his skull.
Brutus' career was put on hold for almost two years, but he would eventually return to wrestling, host his iconic 'Barber Shop' interview segments, and his facial injury even got used in an angle with Money Inc.
