10 Weirdest Ways Wrestlers Got Injured
4. Randy Orton Separates His Shoulder By Taunting
Randy Orton has made a career off the back of his spectacular RKO, and whilst for the most part he can hit it "outta nowhere" there are also the instances where he sets it up by "going to that place" - stunning his opponent before hearing voices, slithering into position, taunting his prey and nailing them with his finisher.
It was during this routine at Over The Limit 2010 in a match with Edge when Orton suffered a freak injury. Whilst banging on the mat in anticipation for his jumping cutter manoeuvre, 'The Viper' managed to separate his right shoulder and was unable to complete the sequence.
The match was hurriedly concluded via double countout as Orton staggered around ringside favouring his arm and clearly in absolute agony.
Randy made a rapid recovery but subsequently admitted he has "hyper mobile" shoulders which dislocate easily and have done on at least six different occasions during his time with WWE, once whilst he was merely taking out the trash!
