Guest stars taking a portion of WWE’s weekly programming to hawk their latest project often falls flat with fans and is called out as a waste of everybody’s time. However, Wolverine himself gets a pass. Not only did Hugh Jackman get himself over, but he pulled Dolph Ziggler to popularity in a segment that also made Damien Sandow a star.

As ‘The Showoff’ and ‘Weapon X’ hyped up X-Men: Days of Future Past, Sandow interrupted, accompanied by the ‘90s X-Men cartoon score, and wearing a Magneto outfit that looked like a Child's Halloween costume released during the show's initial 1992 to 1997 run. Sandow hammed it up to the extreme with hilarious results.

Though Magneto may have been defeated, Sandow was not finished with impersonations. He impressed so much during the segment that creative spun it into a gimmick. Week after week, Sandow lampooned different pop culture figures and wrestlers.

His body of work in mimicry led to him landing his star-making role as Damien Mizdow, The Miz’s stunt double. The summit of his WWE success likely wouldn’t have occurred without his cosplay dive into the world of Marvel Comics.
