3. Toni Storm

Winning the Mae Young Classic is absolutely no guarantee of an immediate main roster push, or even one twelve months down the line - just ask Kairi Sane. However, there are - in the eyes of WWE, at least - certain crucial differences between the inaugural victor and her successor Toni Storm. For one, she's not a pirate. We'll let you deduce the others on your own.

If the promotion are keen to deviate from the typical, increasingly tired route from NXT to the main roster, they could do worse than parachute Storm directly into the Royal Rumble and have her win the whole damn shebang. The former seems a certainty, at the very least.

Probability: It'd make a good change from the usual predictable pattern of NXT call-ups - but it's hard to see where Storm fits in just yet.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
