In an ultimate betrayal that would serve to undermine his entire life and career, a revelation that his Atlanta 1996 opponent Abbas Jadidi took money to throw their final match in order to afford Angle home country glory would be exactly the type of dark detail Kurt would never want exposed to the world.

Jadidi infamously protested the decision at the time, making quite the unsporting scene as Angle attempted to celebrate the pinnacle of his sporting career. Over two decades later, it would be presented as the perfect cover up to further shift any attention away from the corruption that had taken place in order to present America with the 'Olympic Hero' they needed to see.

The Iranian former freestyle wrestler is today a member of Tehran's City Council, which would make a perfect subheading to the story of double-dealing and dishonesty, discovered in extensive background checks before he was able to take office.

The destructive impact of the revelations would send Angle into a tailspin, highlighting exactly why the story could 'ruin' him or threaten to destroy everything he's built since his famous victory. Either as a willing participate or an unfortunate pawn in the scam, Kurt's immediate future could be completely derailed by his scandalous past.
