2. Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon At King Of The Ring 2001 (Street Fight)
"We ended up in the hospital that night - both of us." - Kurt Angle Any time fans think about wild matches in WWE history this is one of that should be near the top of any list because of the physical pain that both of them, especially Shane McMahon, went through. The match got really out of hand as they brawled by the entrance where there was a glass King of the Ring set. The spot called for Angle to send Shane through the glass using a belly to belly suplex. It wouldn't break right away, so Shane ended up landing on his head. Eventually it broke and the second time they went through the glass Angle ended up just tossing Shane through the glass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZYRqyPvMgQ In a shoot interview that Angle did with RF Video he spoke about the glass in the match: "We were supposed to have sugar glass and ended up with plexiglass. I remember how bloody Shane got and when we went through the glass the second time I just decided to throw him head first, which was the worst thing I could have done because I didn't know it was plexiglass. It was the worst glass we could have had in that match. I'm not sure how that got overlooked, but Shane and I busted our asses that night." What's also insane about this match is that Angle wrestled two times earlier in the show too. Angle also admitted that he got a concussion during his first match of the night against Christian and that he was able to get through the match because he had practiced it with Shane for weeks beforehand. Obviously Shane is the one that got banged up more than Kurt, but it's not like it was an easy match for Kurt either.
