10 Wildly Controversial Wrestling Statements

6. Scott Hall's Controversial Tweet About Chris Benoit

Scott Hall is no stranger to controversy. Even recently, the former WWE, WCW and TNA star has been making news site headlines for his behaviour, but he has largely turned his life around. There was a time when many considered it only a matter of time before the man was reported dead, so he deserves praise for taking the proverbial bull by the horns. Social media has been both a blessing and a curse for many wrestling personalities. Hall is no different, and he found out just how dangerous a tool Twitter can be after posting an old picture of The Undertaker, Chris Benoit and himself. Marking the photograph with the caption, "Me, Dead Man and 'Taker", Hall was instantly flooded with complaints for his choice of words. The controversy surrounding Chris Benoit's demise is still raw for many people, who can't fathom the horrors that befell his close family. With his comment, Hall was clearly referencing Benoit as the 'Dead Man' in question, not The Undertaker. Fans felt this was unsavoury, and let the WWE Hall Of Fame inductee know they didn't like his post.
