10 Winners And Losers From WWE Elimination Chamber 2018
3. Winner: Kurt Angle
The contract signing segment of Sunday's show was incredibly important to WrestleMania 34, Ronda Rousey's involvement in the show and the instigation of her rivalry with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. One man was absolutely integral to the angle (pun not intended): general manager Kurt Angle.
The 1996 Olympic gold medalist was tasked with delivering the lines that would spark one of the highest-profile WrestleMania programs and he did so phenomenally, as he revealed to Rousey that it was Triple H and Stephanie who wanted to sign her so they could delight in manipulating her as revenge for her involvement in their humiliation at WrestleMania 31.
Moments later, he revealed more, claiming Stephanie had called Rousey a has-been. He was the spark that ignited the flame and, perhaps, set himself up for a big WrestleMania match depending on whom management is planning on partnering up with Rousey for the big show.
Given the issues between Angle and Triple H that date all the way back to 2000 but were recently revisited last November at Survivor Series, it certainly makes sense the Hall of Famer would want to make life a living hell for his superiors.
