10 Winners And Losers From WWE Elimination Chamber 2018
4. Loser: Finn Bálor
Finn Bálor is rapidly developing into the Superstar with enough credibility to program in a main event match but without enough trust from management to ever actually win it. He is over to the point that he can be one of the final competitors in an Elimination Chamber or Royal Rumble match but rarely in a position that he will emerge victorious.
Such was the case Sunday night when he turned in another excellent performance but was ultimately the fourth Superstar eliminated by Braun Strowman in the night's marquee bout.
Despite a fierce and energetic showing, his workrate was ultimately wasted on yet another high-profile defeat.
Now, he faces uncertainty surrounding his status at WrestleMania and his role on the Raw brand for the foreseeable future. Does he remain an entity in the Universal Championship hunt? Unlikely given Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar already being announced for WrestleMania. Does he feud with The Miz over the Intercontinental Championship? Possibly, but even that feels like a significant step down given his work in the aforementioned chamber and Rumble, not to mention his showing against John Cena a few weeks back.
A man without any obvious direction, Bálor is the most unfortunate loser of Sunday's pay-per-view broadcast.
