Brock Lesnar won the last actual King Of The Ring tournament on Pay-Per-View way back in 2002. Sure, there have been numerous tournaments since then on TV, won by the likes of Booker T, William Regal and Sheamus, but none have felt quite as grand as the actual PPV event did. Being fair, the likes of Mabel (1995), Billy Gunn (1999) and even Ken Shamrock (1998) weren't exactly the best choices to be 'King', and the '95 show in particular was truly horrible, but there was still gas in the proverbial tank before WWE pulled the plug on the event in 2002. Since then, fans have been screaming for the company to bring the King Of The Ring back. Again, the WWE Network opens up the possibility of a one-night special. Beforehand, WWE tried to implement something similar to the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania title match idea, giving the winner of the King Of The Ring a match at Summerslam against the World Champion. There's no reason why that couldn't make a return, there are certainly worse ideas. What other concepts do you feel WWE should return to from their past? Do you agree that the ideas featured here need to make a comeback? Let us know down in the comments section below!
