10 Women AEW Need To Sign
4. Meiko Satomura
From a future Japanese star to one of the nation's greatest ever talents, Meiko Satomura is nothing short of a legend.
She has been around since the mid-1990s and even competed for WCW in their inaugural Women's Championship tournament.
Since then, Satomura has gone from strength to strength, competing all over the world. She's been a champion in Stardom, part of the only all-female team to win the coveted King of Trios tournament in Chikara, and even founded her own women's wrestling promotion, Sendai Girls' Pro Wrestling.
She also made it to the semifinals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic, losing to eventual winner Toni Storm.
Satomura's age might explain why she wasn't signed by WWE - she is turning 40 this year, which is when most wrestlers not named Chris Jericho think about winding their careers down.
Satomura's commitments to her own promotion in Japan may also have prevented her moving Stateside. However, if AEW could secure some sort of deal with her - even if her contract was limited to special appearances - then it would be an incredibly smart move.
Not only would Cody and The Bucks get access to an amazing wrestler, but also the chance to strike up a working relationship with Sendai, which could help flesh out their women's division even further.
Experience, talent, strong connections. These are just some of the many reasons why Satomura should be very high up on AEW's list.
