10 Worst AEW Booking Decisions

3. Nightmare Collective

CM Punk Jon Moxley
AEW

The Nightmare Family is not as prevalent in AEW as it used to be now that both Cody and Brandi Rhodes have left the company, but their impact on the promotion remains obvious to this day. As previously mentioned, the Codyverse could be overly dramatic at times but it also provided some of the promotion's most memorable moments.

The Nightmare Collective was certainly memorable but not in a positive way as it is easily one of the worst ideas to get onto AEW television. The group consisted of Brandi, Awesome Kong, Mel, and for some reason, Luther. It was a shambles from the beginning as the vaguely supernatural aura of the faction did not fit in with the rest of AEW's output.

Brandi began cutting the hair of her victims, Kong was clearly unable to perform like she used to, whilst Mel and Luther did not do anything of note to help the group succeed, despite the former shaving her head for the cause. Thankfully, the stable was abandoned after a couple of months and all four of the performers moved on to new endeavours.
