10 Worst AEW Matches Ever (According To The Internet)

2. Dr. Britt Baker & Rebel Vs. Nyla Rose & Vickie Guerrero - Dynamite, June 30 2021 (1.38)

Britt Baker
AEW

Certain matches are doomed to fail. It is impossible for these matches to be either good, because the talent isn't good, or satisfactory, because the promoter doesn't want either character to lose.

The latter match happened about 90% of the time on Vince McMahon's watch in the 2010s, and the former took place on AEW Dynamite in June 2021. This was the preeminent "no good can come from this match" match in AEW history because it had Vickie Guerrero in it. 2018 Kenny Omega couldn't do anything with her, so what was Rebel going to do?

The answer: get injured from a save attempt.

The match wasn't terrible before that, at least when Baker and Nyla were in there, which is just as well: they were building to a singles match. Because Vickie Guerrero was in it, though, it sucked harder than an aeroplane toilet and you'd sooner have your guts forcibly sucked out of your ar*ehole than sit through it again.

At one point, in an attempt to get into position for the Lockjaw, she just flopped awkwardly to the mat in a way that was somehow comical but not slapstick, all at the same time.
