7. Earthquake Makes 'Quake Burgers'

One of the WWF's biggest heels, Earthquake feuded with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts in the early Summer of 1991. Of course, Roberts carried his trademark pet around with him, known as Damien. This was the crux of the rivalry, one which would take an interesting turn very quickly. Attacking Jake on Superstars, Earthquake apparently squashed the snake inside the ring. To try and emphasis how serious and cruel the act was, the WWF swiftly cut away from the scene. Things were going well, and people were genuinely interested in seeing if Damien was alright, as well as watching Jake seek vengeance on his rival. That's when things went in an altogether more silly direction, one typical of the WWF in the early-1990's. On one episode of Prime Time Wrestling, Bobby Heenan asserted that Earthquake had whipped up some tasty burgers for Vince McMahon, Lord Alfred Hayes and himself to try. Making an appearance, the wrestler dished out the cuisine to the hosts, who quickly found out that the burgers were made from Damien. Calling them, 'Quake Burgers', Earthquake chuckled as fans found the segment ludicrous. The feud ended shortly afterwards, fairly abruptly.
